A Practical Guide to Clinical Medicine: This site was designed by Dr. Charlie Goldberg at UCSD for the Medical Students. It is a "must bookmark" page. There is even a Physical Exam Checklist you can print off and Oral Presentation Guidelines (although you should discuss w/ your preceptor how he/she wants you to present.)

Nurse Lada's Binder YouTube site: I like "Nurse Lada." She is fun, happy and real. She gives real advice and gets the input of others. Check out her YouTube on making your NP Binder- tool that is helpful for students and NPs alike. She also has a Nurse Lada Facebook site that is very positive, upbeat and supportive for NPs. See if it fits your style. (Closed group, but ask to be added.)
There are also many other Facebook sites for NPs. Nurse Practitioner Networking Group, Nurse Practitioner Faith Community, Preceptors for Nurse Practitioner Students. Make sure you check out your local NP chapter and State NP Facebook sites!

Women's Health Resources
Stanford Medicine Pelvic Exam: Excellent and comprehensive review.
Dr. Mike Hughey is an OB/Gyn, and he has a wonderful resource page for Women's Health: OBGYN Skills Lab. He loves to teach and it shows. You register for free and can access great videos- breast exams, pelvics, women's health procedures, medical conditions you might see, and much more. He even has some information in Spanish. He has it all! Thank you, Dr. Hughey for this valuable and free site!

PsychCongress: Great resource for psych info as well as great conferences:
APNA (American Psychiatric Nurses Association) is committed to the practice of psychiatric-mental health (PMH) nursing and wellness promotion, prevention of mental health problems, and the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric disorders. Pertinent to all levels of nursing that work with psych patients.
APA (American Psychiatric Association) tends to be more physician and resident focused, but there are some links that you can access for free through this page.
