Preceptor & Site Direct Referral
We need well-prepared nurse practitioners in the workforce. But in order to have them, we must provide them with hands-on clinical time with willing and qualified preceptors. But healthcare today makes that difficult. You might be willing to precept, but feel you deserve a little something for your time and expertise!  Current research indicates more and more providers feel the same. Well, we happen to agree with you, and that is why we founded PreceptorLink®️.  While we can't "pay you for your time," we can provide you with an honorarium to say thank you, and that is better than another coffee mug, we always say!

So please become a PreceptorLink®️ preceptor. The students need you!

Thank you for giving back to the next generation of nurse practitioners!

The difference between PreceptorLink®️
and other preceptor-matching companies:

Lynn McComas, DNP, ANP-C is our founder and CEO. She is actively involved in all aspects of the business, and she truly cares about the NP profession and is passionate about finding solutions to the preceptor problem for all of medicine.  She is actively working with nursing organizing bodies, multiple schools and faculty, and decision-makers in the profession. Her doctoral studies at Duke focused on finding solutions to the preceptor problem for NPs. She continued her studies with a focus on business, through the Goldman Sachs Small Business program. As an NP-entrepreneur, Lynn understands both the business side and the clinical side of this issue.

PreceptorLink is #1 in the preceptor-matching business. We have been matching NP preceptors since 2014, so we have the experience, connections, and know-how to get the job done. We are seeing several "copy-cat" pop-ups, usually run by people who are opportunists and are not in the NP profession. We are here for the long haul, because we want to work toward positive change in the profession. No one knows this business like we do, and no one cares about the NP profession like we do. We can promise you that!

Quality is the other differentiator.  The students we represent at
PreceptorLink become a reflection of both our business and our profession.  As such, we believe we have a responsibility to send only the most qualified and best students into clinical rotations. We do screen our students and try to take only the best candidates. If you have certain requirements for students, please tell us, and we will only match you with students who meet those requirements. If there are certain prerequisites you require before a student starts at your clinical site, please let us know that as well.  Our goal is to have satisfied preceptors who will be willing and confident about taking our students in the future. We value our preceptors!

Don't feel comfortable being a paid preceptor?
We can donate your honorarium to charity.

We all agree that we need to help train the next generation, but it is still nice to be recognized for the time and dedication you have to put into precepting. Precepting can be a lot of work!  It takes time away from you and your office staff.  If you are not allow to accept payment or opposed to taking an honorarium, we will donate the amount to your favorite charity or find other ways to recognize and/or your site.
Now isn't that a win-win situation for everyone!?
Some accrediting bodies allow credit for precepting.
Check with your credentialing organization to see if yours is one of them.
