About our Founder and CEO
Lynn McComas, DNP, ANP-C President and Owner of PreceptorLink®️ has over 20 years experience as a nurse practitioner. She is an active leader in the NP community and has held many leadership positions as an NP and nurse. She has a heart for medicine and a love of business! Previously a Principal at Advanced Practice Prep, Lynn has helped connect hundreds of practitioners nationwide. She now brings her leadership, experience and dedication to PreceptorLink®️. Lynn has spoken nationwide on preceptor-related issues, and she also contributes to the topic on LinkedIn, YouTube and her blog. She was a contributor in the medical reference 101 Primary Care Case Studies: A Workbook for Clinical and Bedside Skills, and also wrote the Foreword for this valuable clinical resource. She is the two-time past President of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners (CANP) San Diego North Chapter and has held many other Board positions as well. Lynn has worked in primary care and has been a coach, advisor, mentor and preceptor for countless NPs, nurses, medical assistants and medical professionals over the years. She obtained her Doctorate at Duke University and did her DNP project on Solutions to the Preceptor Problem!
Lynn is also a graduate of the prestigious Goldman Sachs Small Business 10K Program. This competitive program provides business education and support is to successful small business entrepreneurs. Lynn is passionate about helping find solutions to the "preceptor problem" for nurse practitioners as a nurse practitioner-entrepreneur. With her unique background and experience, Lynn understands both the business side and the clinical side of this complicated issue.
Lynn recognizes the rapidly growing NP and PA professions, the increased number of NP and PA schools, and the unmet need for preceptor sites. She recognizes the problem these issues are having on the NP profession. Whether change comes through a paradigm shift in NP schools, a reduction in barriers to precepting, incentives to precept, or changes within the profession, she is involved in the conversation and trying to be a positive change agent. Lynn wants to help her beloved profession grow stronger and loves to support her fellow practitioners- whether in the clinical setting or in the business world. Our Team
Linda Lesmeister, MS, MBA- Director of Site Operations: Linda oversees the Clinical Placement Team and assists in the day to day operations of the business. As a seasoned marketing consultant and certified relationship coach, she understands the wants and needs of students and preceptors and works hard to make a good match. Linda also brings a broad and diverse range of solid business experience to the team as she has worked in marketing, market research, business analysis, forecasting and finance at large companies such as General Electric, Kellogg USA, and Clorox. Linda has earned her BS in Finance, MBA in Marketing, life and business coach certification, and a real estate license. She also has experience in franchising, entrepreneurism, recruiting, consulting and sales. Everyone who interacts with her, appreciates Linda. Her warm, humble, caring natural personality coupled with her great work ethics, integrity, follow-up dedication and organizational skills make her invaluable to PreceptorLink.

Ashley Hamiter- Clinical Coordinator: Ashley assists the PreceptorLink Team with connecting students with preceptors. Her background in marketing and management prove to be very beneficial in helping her secure student placements. Previously she was the Marketing Manager and Office Coordinator at Windermere Homes & Estates, where she trained and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the personnel. Prior to that she was the Director of several health spas in Minnesota where her role included overseeing many aspects of the business. We love Ashley's upbeat, can-do attitude and our team, students and preceptors all enjoy working with her.
Sam Melehy, MS Robotics- Technology Consultant: Mr. Melehy has been architecting, selling, and delivering technology and professional service solutions to IT organizations of the Global 5,000 for over 25 years. He is an Internationally experienced executive and entrepreneur. His accomplishments include building, growing, running, acquiring, and selling software and services organizations and companies from $0 to $100M in size, including an exit to a Fortune 100 company. His expertise spans many disciplines, including IT Service Management, DevOps, Automation, Cloud Computing/Strategy/Management, Monitoring, Application Development, CI/CD, Mobile, Big Data/Analytics, and others. Lorraine Sugpatan - Administrative Assistant: Lorraine assists the clinical team by providing administrative support. Her background in Regulatory Affairs and diverse administrative experience seamlessly blends the worlds of science and management. Lorraine’s BS Pharmacy degree, paired with her sharp administrative abilities, allow her to handle complex responsibilities in the healthcare sector. She applies her regulatory knowledge and impeccable skills to facilitate the smooth functioning of the business. Additionally, she’s just a lovely person all around!
Elyse Pearman - General Assistant: Elyse assists the team by providing support in a variety of areas. She is currently a nursing student, so she understands the struggles that students face! We know she will be a wonderful nurse and will be honored to welcome her to this great profession. Elyse has a warm, outgoing, and engaging personality which we love! Her enthusiasm and dedication are admirable. We are blessed to include Elyse as part of our team!
Arthur Laciste - Administrative Assistant: Arthur also assists the PreceptorLink Team with back-end support. His background as a Registered Mechanical Engineer brings a diverse skill set to the team. He often oversees projects from concept to completion in his previous engineering jobs. Beyond engineering, Arthur has demonstrated his organizational finesse and attention to detail in supporting the clinical team. His ability to manage administrative back-end support efficiently ensures seamless monitoring of students’ rotation progress! His solution-oriented and monitoring skills make him wonderful addition to the Team!
Michelle Huang, MS - Executive Associate: Michelle works closely with CEO, Lynn McComas, DNP, ANP-C and the PreceptorLink Team by providing administrative support in all aspects of the business. Her background in engineering has fostered qualities that make her extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to foresee various business needs. Additionally, her warm, “can-do” demeanor make her a pleasure to have around! Michelle used her BS in Chemical Engineering and MS in Environmental Engineering in her previous position at Merck, Inc. Deborah Carlson, MS Accounting- Accounting Manager: Debbie is our amazing Accounting Manager. She is responsible for many areas relating to finances including processing payments to preceptors and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to keep our business finances running smoothly. Deb brings a diverse range of experience and perspective as she has owned and operated her own business, authored accounting textbooks, and experienced a career in the public accounting field including time with Price Waterhouse. Deb is a sincere pleasure to have on our team. Her dedication and attention to detail are incredible assets to our business. She earned her BS in Business Administration and her MS in Accounting from San Diego State University.
