How to Request a Preceptor and Complete Your Profile:
Use Search Filters at the top to search for your needs. Click into profile for site details, pricing, and availability. Check with the school if you’re not sure whether your choice fits your school’s requirements! Accept the agreements and Reserve! (25% deposit)

There is even a place you can post a 1-2 minute video where you can talk about yourself, your goals, and why a preceptor should say yes to precepting you! Preceptors LOVE the video! The process is started! You’ll get emails along the way, so make sure to mark our emails "not spam"!

2. Preceptor views your profile (1-3 days on average)

Preceptor reviews your profile and accepts. Occasionally, preceptors do decline a student, but, don’t worry. We will first try to replace you, and if we can’t replace you, we’ll refund your deposit. (50% autopay upon acceptance)

3. We complete and send school paperwork! Once signed your preceptor’s info is revealed! (1-4 days on average)
School Paperwork Signed: (Usually 1-4 business days)
Upload any paperwork that needs a signature to the Paperwork tab on your rotation, and we’ll send it over electronically for you. Make sure your information is completed on any school forms! (Name, term, class, ID, etc.) Uploading a blank form will delay the process.. Documents that require management signatures and MOUs/Affiliation Agreements take longer than Preceptor Agreement Forms. Upload a note if there is anything special we need to know. If you don’t have paperwork for signature, you can skip this step and press the Paperwork Signed button.
Once signed, we’ll will press the Paperwork Signed button. You’ll get an email notification and you’ll be able to access all your preceptor information. (25% final payment is automatically paid unless Payment Plan was selected. Payment Plan: Must be paid in full before start of rotation.)

4. You submit preceptor info to school for approval. Don’t forget to check in with your school regularly for progress!

5. You connect with preceptor for scheduling, etc.
Connect With Your Preceptor:
Reach out to your preceptor as soon as you obtain your preceptor's information! Introduce yourself and ask about anything you still need to do for the site and when you should check back. Let us know if you have trouble reaching your preceptor by all methods we provide.

6. You start your rotation! Woo hoo! One step closer to graduation and practice!
School Approved Preceptor:
Press the School Approval Confirmed button when your school approves your preceptor. If your school does not approve your preceptor, notify us right away! We are experts at helping students with this issue! If the school still does not approve, don’t worry. We’ll replace or refund you. Once approved, check in with your preceptor if you haven’t recently and see if there are any other steps to take. Ask the 10-20 most commonly seen diagnoses you will expect to see, then study them. We believe in being prepped for success!

When you start your rotation, press the Confirmed in Rotation button, and we’ll send any preceptor the honorarium. Now it’s time to learn, learn, learn! Soak up every patient and opportunity. You’ll be glad you did. You’ve got this!

8. Completed Rotation!

To submit to the preceptor matching app:
How to Search:
- Use the Search Filters at the top and put in your dates, hours, specialty and location.
- Review the preceptors that match your filters.
- If you see something that looks interesting, click into the profile.
- You can see pricing and availability right on the app.
- Complete the Wizard (if not already done). Request the preceptor, and the process is started!
- If you need to log out, just log back in, then access your profile, rotations and finances in your account profile in in upper right corner.
- Create a username and password.
- Select "I am a Student."
- Complete the "Wizard" on app. Describe yourself, your background, upload documents... When you answer the screening questions, remember that preceptors will see this. Be thoughtful in your answers. If you need to finish your profile later, go ahead and log out. Later, you can log back into the app; click your profile in the right upper corner, and continue the Wizard.
- Make sure to mark our emails "not spam"!
Creating a Rotation:
- Use the Search Filters at the top left to search for what you need.
- Click into a preceptor's profile to review it.
- Once you have created a rotation, you can even add preceptors to your favorites so you can compare them!
- When you find a good fit on a preceptor's page, input your rotation needs (the system holds your dates, so try to be accurate), and you'll see the pricing. There is a small last minute fee if paperwork is due 15 days or less from submission.
- Upload your paperwork for this rotation, but be sure to fill out your part! We won't know your class, school ID, etc.
- If you want to request the preceptor, click "Reserve," acknowledge you agree to the terms, and accept the preceptor's requirement checklist (at the bottom left).
- You'll add your credit card info in the bottom left. This is the card that will be used for future payments. Our e-commerce site will securely save your credit card info. You can always change cards in "Payments" section. If you make a change, be sure to change to the card you want as a default.
- Woo hoo! That's it! Now it's out of your hands and in ours!
If you don't find a preceptor that works:
This happens. Go ahead and request a Custom Search. Still create a profile and rotation. You can request a Custom Search Fee to secure our personal services. Then we'll try to find and add preceptor/s we feel will work for you! We have lots of preceptors! The cost is $150 but the full $150 Custom Search Fee will be applied towards the rotation we find for you. (Custom Searches are non-refundable and there is no guarantee that we will find you a preceptor, but we rarely fail on a Custom Search! We are experts in preceptor-matching and will give it 150% effort!)
This happens. Go ahead and request a Custom Search. Still create a profile and rotation. You can request a Custom Search Fee to secure our personal services. Then we'll try to find and add preceptor/s we feel will work for you! We have lots of preceptors! The cost is $150 but the full $150 Custom Search Fee will be applied towards the rotation we find for you. (Custom Searches are non-refundable and there is no guarantee that we will find you a preceptor, but we rarely fail on a Custom Search! We are experts in preceptor-matching and will give it 150% effort!)
I've selected a preceptor and paid the deposit, what's next?
- Now your request is sent to the preceptor. Your information is private until you're accepted by the preceptor.
- When the preceptor accepts, you are charged 50% of the total fees (unless it's a Payment Plan).
- You'll receive an email when the preceptor responds. You can also log in at any time to check notifications, progress, and review your rotations.
- When you are accepted by a preceptor, we step in to help get paperwork signed! If there is paperwork that you're supposed to send over for signature, we'll send it to the preceptor. Once that is signed, the paperwork will be uploaded to the rotation in the "Paperwork" section.
- Once paperwork is signed, you will be able to review the preceptor's profile and access credentialing documents. You will also be charged your final payment. Both the student and preceptor will be able to to see contact info and rotation details. Submit your paperwork and credentialing documents to your school, and you're one step closer to graduation! Our seasoned team is always available! Use the chat or email us directly through the app.
- Connect with your preceptor right away (within a few days) to introduce yourself and set up the rotation details. If you are unable to connect with your preceptor after trying all methods of contact listed at least 3 times, please let us know, and we'll intervene. You can email us or call us.
- Affiliation agreements are usually completed between the student's university and the clinical site. Please let us know right away if your school is having trouble connecting with the preceptor.
